I have both returned Penske Truck and car two trailer AND rented same set up from Just Store it on State of Franklin and have had a stellar experience both times! Everything was perfect except for a small mistake made by the national Penske salesperson which was probably a simple misunderstanding. Terri Campbell helped me both times with returning equipment and renting equipment and I was very pleased with her professionalism on both occasions. I highly recommend this company for your rental needs!

I have been with the Milligan Hwy. Location for about 16 years. This is the best storage facility in the area. When any issues arise(seldom to never) or I need to pay my bill the folks there(State of Franklin location) esp. Miss Terri goes out of her way to assist me. She is truly an asset to your organization.

Terri Campbell is the rare employee that goes above and beyond her job description. There were problems with the fence code and size of the unit doors assigned. Terri took it upon herself to drive out to the rental-unit site on Milligan Highway, Johnson City, TN, to see what exactly was going wrong. Apparently the office maps are not accurate/updated. We had plans to get our money reimbursed and go with another rental company, but because of Terri's dedication and professionalism, we decided to stay with Just Store It. It's very rare to meet an employee who cares about the actual problem and the customer. Terri is an amazing professional that the Just Store It corporation should value. thank you terri;; Sincerely, Jackie Edmondson and Neil Lloyd

My experience with the Just Store It located on N. State of Franklin road was excellent. My Penske experience was also excellent. Any time I need a truck and amazing service, this is the place for me to go.

Self-Storage in Johnson City, TN

Located in the northeastern tip of the state, Johnson City Tennessee, is a beautiful place to live, visit, and grow up. This portion of Eastern Tennessee was first colonized in 1769 by William Bean in what is still known today as the Boone’s Creek area. This stronghold is East Tennessee was once known as the State of Franklin, a willingly independent area of land between North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee that was fought for by opposing factions on the Tipton-Haynes State Historic Site in 1788. The result of this engagement left the area where it still sits today in the eastern tip of the State of Tennessee in Washington County. The town grew rapidly in the 1800’s after becoming a railroad hub most notably known as Johnson’s Depot and was the home of the Clinchfield Railroad and the “Tweetise” Railroad. The Tweetsie Railroad is now commemorated by the Tweetsie Trail which is a paved bike and walking path that runs the old train track route between Johnson City and Elizabethton Tennessee.

Downtown Johnson City’s New Additions

Downtown Johnson City Tennessee has truly transformed over the past few years from dilapidated old buildings and a seedy crowd to beautiful parks, newly renovated historic buildings with apartments and retail spaces, great restaurants, a farmer’s market, and coming soon the Tannery Knob Bike Park. Downtown Johnson City even boasts of a 5-acre greenspace that can be reserved for any type of concert or event. As exciting as the newly remodeled old buildings and great spots to pop in, but they pale in comparison to the uniqueness of what the Tannery Knob Bike Park will be. World class mountain biking is just a short ride away from the downtown area. The Tannery Knob Bike Park’s design is being finalized by the International Mountain Biking Association and will be constructed on 45 acres of land donated by Grant Summers, a local philanthropist and business person.

Beer in the Tri-Cities, TN

Beer. It is so common for every town, no matter how big or small, to have local brews for everyone to try and the Tri-Cities area is no different. The Tri-Cities is an area in Eastern Tennessee comprised of three…. really four cities. The primary cities are: Johnson City, TN; Kingsport, TN; Bristol, TN/VA with the secondary being Elizabethton, TN. We don’t know why it was put together this way but it is what it is. Nevertheless, it is easy to find great local beer in each one of the places.

In Johnson City, the Atlantic Ale House is a great place that hosts local beer and food trucks, although it does not produce any of its own. Another great option here is the flagship Yee Haw Brewing Co. in one of the old train stations on Buffalo Street. Also, make sure to check out the Johnson City Brewing Company and JRH Brewing, both unique and with great beer.

Kingsport Tennessee has its own set of craft breweries to try. Most notably the Sleepy Owl Brewery with a focus of great beer and tons of live music you cannot go wrong checking it out. The other can’t miss is the Gypsy Circus Cider Company with awesome local ciders, great food, and a dog friendly environment.

Bristol Tennessee and Bristol Virginia, this is a split border town so half of it is in Virginia and the other half in Tennessee, has really put together a beautiful downtown space with some interesting culinary and brewery options. Studio Brew should be your first stop, amazing beer in an old brick fully renovated building with a big patio. Holston Brewing Company offers a big outdoor space by the river, it’s dog friendly, and you can camp onsite. Finally, Bristol Station Brews and Taproom offers a cozy environment with varying styles for any palate, check it out.
